I’ve had some down time the past couple of days, so I’ve been editing up live recordings that have been sitting on my desktop…mostly duo stuff with Simon Lott (the three we’ve done this year), as well as a David Mahoney Quartet show from February. I’ll be posting a number of outtakes over the next few days.
Simon and I did two shows over the span of a week back in January/February, one in Baton Rouge (at Red Star Bar) and then one in New Orleans (at the AllWays). This track is from the latter, and is probably my favorite that I’ve come across so far (I have yet to edit up last week’s Open Ears performance, which I suspect will yield a few I like even better). It was the last piece of the set.
